MY PRACTICE
I see individuals and couples in my private practice, normally in the role of a psychotherapist and analyst with a Jungian orientation. I also attend children and teens not only as a therapist but as a psychopedagogue as well, specialised in cognitive assessment and diagnosis of learning problems.
JUNGIAN ANALYSIS
The framework for my practice is founded on Depth Psychology–the Analytical Psychology approach of the Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, Carl G. Jung. A central aim of this psychology is individuation, the process by which a person becomes himself or wholly individuated; that is, a separate, indivisible unity or whole.
ABOUT ME
I am a psychotherapist and Jungian analyst practicing in Barcelona and Badalona. I hold a doctorate degree in Psychology with accreditation as a European Doctorate and a Diploma of Analytical Psychology accredited by the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP), the Spanish Society of Analytical Psychology (SEPA) and the Spanish Federation of Associations of Psychotherapists (FEAP). Having developed my professional experience in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Barcelona, I bring this multicultural background to my practice and work with clients in English, Catalan, and Spanish.
My doctoral thesis “Marriage: A path to the Meaning of Life in the Writings of Adolf Guggenbühl-Craig” is an investigation into the relationships of couples within the framework of the analytical psychology of Jung and is a consequence of my professional practice as an analyst.
Academic Work
In addition to my clinical practice, I have been an associate professor at University of Barcelona, faculty of Education. I also offer councelling to educators and other professionals within the education field.
As a training analyst of the Spanish Society of Analystical Psychology, I participate as an instructor in their training programme in Analytical Psycology (C.G. Jung) as well as a supervisor in the clinical practice of the students.
I have served as a special education teacher and public school psychologist (Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia) and have taught classes in masters and other postgraduate programmes in Special Education and in Analytical Psychology.
Currently I participate as a speaker in academic conferences at University of Barcelona and in international congresses of Analytical Psychology (C.G. Jung).
Associations
I am a member of the Spanish Federation of Associations of Psychotherapists (FEAP), International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP), Spanish Society of Analytical Psychology (SEPA), and Catalan Association of Analytical Psychology (ACPA).
