Anna M. Gassol

Doctor of Psychology and Jungian Analyst

Associate Professor, University of Barcelona

MY BACKGROUND

I have developed my  professional experience in Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Barcelona, bringing a multicultural background to my practice. I work as an independent Jungian Analyst and have been in private practice in Barcelona and previously in Tokyo since 1993.

I hold a doctorate degree in Psychology. My doctoral thesis “Marriage: A path to the Meaning of Life in the Writings of Adolf Guggenbühl-Craig” is an investigation into the relationships of couples within the framework of the analytical psychology of Jung and is a consequence of my professional practice as an analyst. The directors of my thesis were Dr. Shunya Takeno of Nihon University in Tokyo and Dr. Francesc Torralba, Professor, Blanquerna Faculty of Psychology and Educational and Sport Sciences, University of Ramon Llull in Barcelona.

From 1979 to 1992 I served as a primary and secondary school  teacher, special education teacher, and school psychologist in the Barcelona area and in Los Angeles and taught postgraduate courses in special education and authored a postgraduate course in Special educational needs.
